Bret Schuch

Bret joined the company in 1992 in a sales capacity, having spent the previous ten years in the commercial banking industry. Benefiting from his finance background and relationships within the industry, Bret has helped the company to grow ten-fold in the course of his 20 plus year tenure, mainly by expanding Goodman’s market presence to markets outside of Texas, from New York to California and all points between.

Bret serves on multiple boards, including that of a well-known private school in Dallas as well as on the Elder Board of his church.

Jason Cole

Jason has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial finance industry. He believes that the best way to serve entrepreneurs is to bring an entrepreneurial approach to every situation. Having spent significant time in both a small, private firm as well as a large, regulated bank environment, Jason has successfully provided ABL and factoring solutions to companies of all sizes that meet every client’s unique situation and needs.

Skylar Lane

Skylar Joined Goodman in 2017 having 7 years of industry experience ranging from underwriting and operations to sales and sales management. Skylar has a vast experience working with businesses in many industries, with his main motivation being to help his clients become as prosperous and successful as possible. While not working Skylar likes to spend time with his wife and two small children. Being a California transplant who loves to surf, Skylar has had to take up other hobbies such as biking and hiking since moving to Austin.

Skylar is a self-proclaimed foodie who greatly enjoys both dining out as well as preparing meals at home.

Lindsay Gordon

Lindsay possesses more than 35 years of experience in banking and commercial finance, lending to clients in a variety of industries. His resume ranges from working with one of the largest banks in the country, to starting and building a commercial finance company from scratch.  This breadth of experience in both large and small lending environments gives Lindsay a unique insight to provide a myriad of flexible ABL and factoring solutions to all types and sizes of clients.  Lindsay prides himself in responsive customer service and being able to work with clients to structure solutions to meet their individual needs.

Janette Merritt

Janette has been a part of the factoring industry for 23 years, having spent the past 20 of those years leading the sales team at Vertex Financial. Her knowledge and experience in all aspects of the transaction has been instrumental in building long lasting relationships with not only her clients but her referral relationships across the United States. She is known for her strong referral partner relationships and connecting them with others. Janette has been an active member in the Commercial Finance Association, The Finance Forum, ACG, International Factoring Association, TMA and Women’s Finance Exchange.

She also has held a seat on several of their boards.

Lauren Polek

Lauren has over 20 years of experience in helping entrepreneurs meet their working capital needs. She began her career in the staffing industry, witnessing first-hand the demands of a growing payroll and its impact on cash flow. Eventually Lauren transitioned into the finance industry, working for both a small boutique lender as well as a large, regulated bank, and moved into a sales role that directly allowed her to help staffing owners. Her no-nonsense approach and passion for excellence helped her foster many long-standing relationships and earn her strong reputation.  Lauren has a deep-dive expertise in staffing and has been active in many state and national associations.

When not helping companies get to the next level, you can find Lauren sailing on Lake Norman or traveling around the world.

Jeff Duclow

Jeff is blessed with over 30 years of experience in helping entrepreneurs meet their working capital needs. Jeff has a long history of financing entrepreneurs working for both a boutique lender as well as a large, nationally regulated bank. Early in his career he developed an understanding of the unique needs of staffing company owners and has dedicated his career to developing relationships in the staffing industry earning a reputation as a go-to lending authority. Over his career he has closed more than 400 credit facilities. He is a long-standing member and an occasional speaker for the American Staffing Association and Staffing Industry Analysts.

Jeff has been married for 36 years and has three daughters that occupy much of his free time.

Courtney Garrison

Courtney is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University during which time she split her focus between business and women’s studies, giving her a diverse perspective when analyzing accounts and forming client and co-worker relationships. Courtney began working for Goodman Factors in 1995, and over the last 20 plus years has become highly proficient in almost every operational aspect at Goodman. Always wanting to learn more she utilized her extensive knowledge base to move into a Portfolio Manager role, managing the overall health of over 70 clients. In her time away from work she is busy raising her teenage son who shares her love of music and travel.

Brooke Gordon

Brooke’s career in the factoring and ABL industry spans over 16 years, during which she has gained extensive experience in managing a diversified portfolio of commercial clients. She prides herself in providing excellent customer service and building long, sustainable relationships with her clients. She has managed accounts ranging from start-up businesses to large, established multi-national companies, and of course everything in between. She has worked with clients serving a variety of different industries, including oil & gas, distribution, manufacturing, and service, with a particular emphasis in the staffing and consulting sector.

Tina King

We at Goodman regard all of our employees as valuable, but Tina arguably embodies that description as much as anyone. Tina’s experience in the factoring industry dates back to the late 1980’s where she served as the Operations Manager of Richards Capital before joining Goodman in 1999. In addition to managing a portfolio at Goodman, Tina also oversees the interfaces with our factoring software provider. Like many of the Goodman employees she wears many hats and is capable of performing virtually any function within the company – each with a high level of proficiency.

Jessie Valdivia

Jessie joined the Goodman Capital Finance Management team in 1998 as Vice President/Business Development Officer. He spent twenty years in that position, developing new business, providing account management, underwriting, creating marketing programs and has been a major part of our growth. In 2018, he was promoted to the position of Portfolio Manager and now oversees account executives, manages client accounts, analyzes credit, and remains very active in past responsibilities. Prior to becoming a Manager at GCF, he spent 10 years heading up an apparel firm, where he gained extensive knowledge in financing, manufacturing, delivery deadlines, credit risk, collections and customer service. Having run a small business, his insight is beneficial to the needs of our clients. Jessie also spent time in sales and management within the transportation industry; this provided him with a solid understanding of the requirements and operations for small, medium and large trucking companies.

Mary Dupree

Like many of our valued employees, Mary is a veteran of the industry, having served in finance and related capacities for the entirety of her career. Mary joined Goodman in 2004 as an Account Executive, eventually transitioning into her current role as Division Controller. Her product and system knowledge is superior, however her love of working with the clients and making sure their needs are met may be her biggest asset to our company. She enjoys spending her time away from the office with her husband, kids, and grandkids.

Cathy Rhome

With over 25 years of industry experience, Cathy is a seasoned pro. In her current role she oversees account executives, manages a diverse portfolio, analyzes credit, and more importantly builds lasting relationships with clients. She believes customer service is key in retaining clients and strives to maintain the highest level. She is a Certified Account Executive in Factoring (CAEF) with the International Factoring Association. She is friendly, outgoing and loves to make others laugh.

In her spare time, she likes watching movies, reading, and most importantly spending time with her husband and her children.

Travis Wolff

Travis has over 15 years of experience in the factoring and asset-based lending industries, serving in a variety of capacities including relationship management and back-office support before transitioning into an underwriting role in 2009. Travis has underwritten credit facilities of various sizes for companies in numerous industries inclusive of manufacturing, distribution, oil/gas, temporary staffing, among others. Credit facilities underwritten have been utilized for working capital needs, growth, and M&A activity. Travis leads the underwriting group for Goodman Capital Finance and takes care to aide prospective clients seamlessly through underwriting and due diligence and eventually to closing. Travis received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Missouri at St. Louis, as well as his MBA from Webster University in St. Louis.

Goodman Capital Finance has been fortunate to have experienced relatively very little turnover among its employee base, some of whom have been with the company for more than 40 years. This continuity and experience among our very important operational and support staff serve to greatly enhance the level of service we provide to our many valued clients.
